Guide: Creating an App Store Developer Account
This guide shows you how to create your own Apple App Store developer account so that your app can be published under your name or your company's name.
By following the steps, you make sure that you stay the legal owner of the App Store account, that your brand appears in the stores, and that we as Zubs GmbH can safely upload and update the app for you without you needing any technical knowledge.
Before You Start — Please Prepare
Please have the following ready.
If you have a company (recommended)
- An Apple ID → https://appleid.apple.com
- Your legal company name
- Your company address
- Your company phone number
- Your company website
- Your D-U-N-S Number
- Check or request it here: https://developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/
- The full name of someone who can legally sign for the company (owner / director)
- A credit card to pay the yearly fee (99€)
Alternatively, if you are an individual
- Apple ID
- Your full name
- Your address
- Your phone number
- Credit card for the yearly fee
Step-by-step Instructions (Organization Account)
1. Sign in
Visit: https://developer.apple.com/programs/enroll/
Click Start Your Enrollment.
Sign in using your Apple ID.
2. Confirm your personal information
Check if the shown name and address are correct.
3. Choose your enrollment type
Select: Organization / Company
Pick Individual only if you have no organization. Your personal name will appear in the App Store then.
4. Enter your company information
Fill in:
- Legal company name
- D-U-N-S number
- Company address
- Company phone number
- Company website
- Your name, job title, email, phone
- Confirm that you can legally represent the company
5. Submit your enrollment
Click Submit.
Apple will now review your application.
6. Verification by Apple
Apple may:
- Email you
- Or call you
This is normal and usually quick.
7. Pay the annual fee
When Apple approves your account:
- Log in again
- Pay the 99€/year fee
8. Invite Zubs
Go to: https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/
- Open Users and Access → Click +
- Add our developer's email address: orcun.yoruk@zubs.app
- Role: Admin (recommended) or App Manager
9. Your Apple Developer account is ready
Great! 🎉 Now we can publish your app soon.
