Guide: Creating a Play Store Developer Account

This guide shows you how to create your own Google Play Store developer account so that your app can be published under your name or your company's name.

By following the steps, you make sure that you stay the legal owner of the Play Store account, that your brand appears in the stores, and that we as Zubs GmbH can safely upload and update the app for you without you needing any technical knowledge.

Before You Start — Please Prepare​

If you have a company:

  • Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace)
  • Company name
  • Company address
  • Company phone number
  • Company website
  • Contact name, email, phone
  • Developer email (displayed publicly)
  • A credit/debit card for the $25 one-time fee

If you are an individual, personal details are fine.

Step-by-step Instructions​

1. Sign in​

Go to: https://play.google.com/console/signup

Log in with your Google account.

2. Accept the Developer Agreement​

Scroll down → Click Accept.

3. Pay the registration fee​

  • Pay the $25 one-time fee.
  • After that, the account belongs to you forever.

4. Choose account type​

Select: Organization / Business

Choose Personal only if you have no company.

5. Enter your company details​

Fill in:

  • Developer name (shown publicly, e.g. "My Shop GmbH")
  • Organization name
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Website
  • Contact person for Google (name, email, phone)
  • Developer support email (for your users)

6. Identity verification​

Google may ask for:

Simply follow the on-screen instructions.

7. Invite Zubs​

Inside the Play Console:

  • Go to Users and permissions
  • Click Invite new user
  • Add our email: orcun.yoruk@zubs.app
  • Give us appropriate access (Admin recommended)

8. Your Google Play Developer Account is ready​

Great! 🎉 Now we can publish your app soon.
