Languages and Regions
Which languages Zubs speaks on each surface, how your own texts get translated, how subscriptions work across Shopify Markets, and where Zubs and your data are based.
Supported Languages
Zubs shows each customer the language they use on your store. Every surface falls back to English when a language isn't supported.
| Surface | Languages |
|---|---|
| Storefront widget and checkout | English, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, Swedish, Turkish |
| Customer portal (in Shopify customer accounts) | English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish |
| Customer emails (subscription created, cancelled, paused and reactivated, upcoming order reminder, payment and stock failures) | English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish |
| Merchant Portal and Shopify admin actions | English, French, German, Italian, Spanish |
- Customer emails go out in the language saved on the customer in Shopify. Customers in Austria and Switzerland who use German get the German emails.
- A customer whose language isn't on the list for a surface sees that surface in English.
Translating Your Own Texts
Texts you write yourself — selling plan names, cancellation reasons, widget copy and metafield values — are translated with Shopify's Translate & Adapt app:
- Cancellation reasons: see General Settings.
- Widget metafields: see Customize the Widget.
Shopify Markets and Currencies
- Plans per market. You can limit a selling plan to some of your Shopify Markets, for example a EUR plan and a CHF plan for the same product. The storefront widget shows each shopper only the plans of their market — see Customize the Widget.
- Analytics in one currency. If your shop sells in several currencies, the Analytics Dashboard converts totals to your shop's base currency.
Zubs in the EU
- Company. Zubs is made by Zubs GmbH, a German company registered at the commercial court of Frankfurt am Main (HRB 136694). See the legal notices.
- Hosting. The Zubs app runs on servers in the EU (Netherlands). Error monitoring and the emails Zubs sends to your customers also run through EU data centers.
- GDPR. For your customers' data, you are the controller and Zubs processes it on your behalf. Zubs provides a data processing agreement (DPA) on request. After you uninstall the app, Zubs deletes your customers' data within 48 hours. Details are in the privacy policy.
- Support. Our support team answers in English and German.
